while the parish council welcome initiatives to provide accommodation for Local Young People it considers that this is not an appropriate site for the following reasons-

A letter has been received from DDDC regarding the sale of two small sites within the parish, which was possibly the old quarry and also land on Knabb Hall lane, and the Sheep Wash, which may have once belonged to the parish and has since been lost. If land is given back, these could be self financing.

That further details are requested of these sites and others within the Parish with a view to having them returned to the parish council.
56/07 CORRESPONDENCE was received as follows:
DCC Possible sites for new waste management development waste sites allocation development plan document which highlighted Brookfield Ind Estate as a potential recycling site.
RESOLVED:
Village already has a scrap yard. Proposed site is rapidly becoming a retail park not compatible with a waste site. Site has major food distribution and coffee distributor. There will be confusion with a disposal site and could attract domestic traffic as well as heavy lorries. The A615 is overloaded now and there has been three fatal accidents within 300 yards of the site within the last six years. Tansley does not want DDDC and DCC unwanted businesses within its parish.
