29/06 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 13 JUNE 2005
The Minutes of the Meeting held on Monday 13 June 2005 were approved and signed as a true and accurate record.
30/06 MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES
There were no matters arising
31/06 EXCLUSIONS
There were no items to be taken in exclusion.
32/06 VACANCY FOR COUNCILLOR
The Chairman nominated Steven Greenhough to be co-opted onto the Council.
RESOLVED:
It was decided to approach Mr Greenhough to take up the vacancy of councillor.
33/06 CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Fete Field –timbers for the roof are now in place, the services are nearly in.
The drainage work on the field has started and there be a need to increase the spec. due to the wet areas, this could cost in the region of £5,000. The drainage works contractor has been keeping the residents informed. The contractor will maintain the field for a year.
The village was swept in time for the well dressings this year, the fete was a success along with the hill run.
Cemetery Path – this is still ongoing.
There is to be joint Derbyshire Dales/Derbyshire County Council forum on 18 July which the chairman would be attending.
34/06 EAST MIDLANDS IN BLOOM
Judging day is 12 July at 9.30, Cllr Spink would be in attendance with the judges, the route has been planned to take in the Older Persons bungalows and some of the areas of the village have received sweeping by Derbyshire Dales.
35/06 NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
A discussion was held regarding this, as there have been a few minor break ins lately, and now might be the time to try and introduce a scheme once again.
RESOLVED:
Cllr Johnson would make initial enquiries about a possible scheme.
