18/06                  MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 9 MAY  2005

The Minutes of the Meeting held on Monday 9 May 2005 were approved and signed as a true and accurate record.

20/06                  EXCLUSIONS

There were no items to be taken in exclusion.

21/06        CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

Fete Field - Work is progressing nicely and builder is now up to wall plate, the roof should soon be on.  The next stage payment will be payable by WREN in the region of £24,000, this will be submitted direct to WREN.

The NPFA should commence their work at the end of June and the main work should take around a fortnight.

It was asked if there would be adequate signage once the Fete Field Pavilion was completed, and also if there would be any traffic calming measures put in place.

Preliminary discussions have taken place with County Highways regarding the consideration of traffic calming, and there would be signage for the Fete Field at a later date.

Cemetery Path – a reply has been received from the Diocese which asks questions about the mortar mix and also gravestones being passed over.

RESOLVED:

That the clerk write back and give more information.

East Midlands in Bloom – judging day is 12 July at 9.30, it is felt that there could be more community involvement ie. gardening club.
