12/08        CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

Fete Field

The Clerk, Reg Whitworth, Ian Spencer, Steve Chapman, Scott Hallam, Alan Penn of NPFA, Jim Wheeler of D W Clark had all met, regarding the problem of the drainage of the top pitch.

The NPFA Clarks are funding more sand slits, with gravel bands.  The Football Club asked for a trench to be dug some way across the top which should be able to show where the water was coming from, ie surface and below ground.  Clarks said that they would do this as well, and marked out a fair area of the pitch to have work done on it, all present were in agreement.  The work should begin after the Summer Fayre has taken place.  This would hopefully resolve the problem once, and for all.
