MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING OF TANSLEY PARISH COUNCIL ON MONDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2006

60/07 ELECTION OF CHAIR
Cllr J Spink took the chair for the meeting.
61/07 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Cllrs Gray and Johnson declared an interest in Spout Lane, Proposed Pedestrianised Plateau.
62/07 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 21 AUGUST 2006
The Minutes of the Meeting held on Monday 21 August 2006 were approved and signed as a true and accurate record.
63/07 MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES
56/07 There had been an acknowledgement letter from DCC.
64/07 EXCLUSIONS
There were no items to be taken in exclusion.
65/07 FETE FIELD REPORT
Although the Trustees have not yet been finalised a deadline needs to be fixed for them to take over and utility bill for gas supplied has been received, and there should be electricity. Water charges will follow much later.
An appointment of a Parish Councillor as a Member of the Trust needs to be made; this appointment will take into account the interests of the Trust and not those of the individual or the Parish Council.
RESOLVED:
To write to the Trustees and give them a deadline of 1 October for them to take over, with the agreement that the gas and electricity are paid by the Parish Council up to this date.
That Councillor Johnson is nominated by the Parish Council.
66/07 FOOTPATH MAINTENANCE
The Parish Council has struggled to get someone to carry out footpath maintenance, however a youngster at University has approached the Parish Council and has actually commenced work on some of the footpaths.
67/06 DCC SPOUT LANE, PROPOSED PEDESTRIANISED PLATEAU
DCC have consulted on the possibility of removing a harsh rise in the level of Spout Lane.
The Parish Council welcomes the plateau, as it is quite an improvement to the levels at the moment.
68/06 EAST MIDLANDS IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 13.9.06
The awards for the East Midlands In Bloom presentation are to take place on Wednesday, Cllr Taylor would have attended but he is away at present. Cllr R Whitworth will be attending; Cllr N Whitworth may be able to arrange to attend also.

70/07 CORRESPONDENCE was received as follows:
DDDC Towards a Strategy for Play in Derbyshire Dales a questionnaire requesting information on facilities in the area this was completed to return.
Matlock Carbon Neutral Forum Meeting 18.9 06 unfortunately no one was available to attend.
71/07 CIRCULARS was received no one had attended the DALC A.G.M.
