 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF TANSLEY PARISH COUNCIL ON TUESDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2007

Councillors Emmerson & Speedie signed the acceptance of office document.

There were no declarations of interest to declare

 

38/08        MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2007

The Minutes of the Meeting held on Tuesday 25 September 2007 were approved and signed as a true and accurate record.

 

39/08        MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES

There were no matters arising. 

 40/08        EXCLUSIONS

 There were no items to be taken in exclusion.

 41/08        SIGNATORIES FOR CHEQUES

This was discussed and due to the problems with mandates at the bank now and the trouble everyone has to go to, it was

 

RESOLVED:

To leave the signatories as current; Cllrs Gray, Greenhough and Taylor.

 

42/08        FETE FIELD

The letter from the owners of Masson View was read out, and the problem of footballers entering their property to retrieve footballs was appreciated by the Members and the need to be solved without a permanent entrance being agreed.

A right of way is not permanent if it closed on 1 day per year and advertised in the press.

 

RESOLVED:

That Cllr Taylor & Hallam would consider erecting a stile away from the house to allow footballers access.  This would need to be closed 1 day each year, preferably in the summer.  This could be on Fete Day.

 

43/08        VILLAGE PLAN

the draft village plan had been circulated, and the discussion that ensued  felt that it needed to be looked at to make more useable.  When this has been finalised, it might be circulated throughout the village.  Traffic Calming was discussed and the new flashing sign commended.

 

RESOLVED:

 

Cllr Spencer would try and make more useable and DCC written to, to request that the flashing sign be kept.

 

44/08        EAST MIDLANDS IN BLOOM & TANSLEY IN BLOOM

 

The clerk and Jane Whitworth attended the presentation, Tansley gained a Silver award, and three bags of daffodil bulbs.  Cllr Taylor had entered Jane’s garden for the Best Garden, which she subsequently won.

 

Matlock Garden Centre has again provided vouchers for the presentation evening.

 

RESOLVED:

 

To hold the presentation evening on Friday October 19 in the Fete Field Pavilion.

 

45/08        DDDC – DISPOSAL OF SITES AT OLD COACH ROAD TANSLEY

 

The contents of the letter was noted.

 

46/08        ERNEST BAILEY CHARITY

Once again groups can apply for financial assistance from the charity.
