TANSLEY “ALIVE AND KICKING”
SAYS THE SUNDAY

Tansley is “alive and
kicking” according to The Sunday Telegraph.
In its property section this
week, the newspaper has a one-page feature on villages
where community spirit is thriving, and Tansley gets a
mention!
“They’re an energetic bunch,”
says the newspaper. “There are fit-for-anything and tai
chi classes, not to mention the annual hill run. More
genteel are the 10 movies a year shown by film
enthusiasts in the village hall.”

& LOCAL IN TANSLEY VILLAGE HALL!

Ashley Hutchings
and Ken Nicol
Tansley Village Hall is now
a promoter of Live & Local professional shows and will be staging
its first one, Ashley Hutchings and Ken Nicol, at 7.30pm on
Saturday 20th November. There will be a licensed bar.
Ticket prices - £7.50 in advance, £8.50 on
the day. Any profits will go to Tansley Village Hall
Restoration Fund. Tickets will be available in due course
from Chris Knightley and other members of the Village
Hall Committee. More details will be announced nearer the date
on the Tansley Hotwire email
news service and on this website.
Ashley was founder of Fairport Convention,
Steeleye Span and The Albion Band. This year he has joined
forces with Ken Nicol who was a long standing member of The
Albion Band and is currently lead guitarist for Steeleye Span.
These two brilliant musicians will
perform songs from their new album "Copper, Russet and Gold"
as well as older songs and tunes. You can sample tracks
