MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING OF TANSLEY PARISH COUNCIL ON MONDAY 11 DECEMBER 2006

99/07 APOLOGIES

The Chairman suspended standing orders to allow the police to address the meeting.
The police were present due to the recent spate of burglaries over the last two weekends. All the police can do is speak to local people to try and gain information. The chairman asked the police if there was any kind of surveillance either overt or covert that could be used, or if the safety partnership could help.
In the meantime the police would visit the village and drop leaflets encouraging people to be more careful and vigilant, although there are only 4 police and 3 special constables for the whole area.
A neighbourhood watch meeting has been set up at The Gate at 7.30 on 14 December 2006.

105/07 TANSLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL TRAVEL PLAN
Had been circulated prior to the meeting, and the Council discussed and

To support the objectives of the School Travel Plan, but not to support the detail until further consultation has taken place.
106/07 PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF WEST YARD
The future plans for West Yard were circulated prior to the meeting, and include a woodland area, and a childrens play area, and a range of housing.
RESOLVED:
To write to Barncroft Homes in favour of supporting the principle of the development.
107/07 MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARISH COUNCIL AND THE FETE FIELD TRUST.

To refer to Chris Gale, the solicitor for his comments.
108/07 HOLY TRINITY CHURCH - MEMORIAL SAFETY
To await further information regarding costs.
109/07 DDDC MATLOCK TOWN CENTRE MASTERPLAN AREA ACTION PLAN
No one had been available to attend the consultation meeting from the Council.
RESOLVED:
To write to Derbyshire Dales welcoming the fact that they are dealing with the problems and aiming to improve the town centre.
