84/08        MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 23 OCTOBER 2007

The Minutes of the Meeting held on Tuesday 23 October 2007 were approved and signed as a true and accurate record.

85/08        MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES

A letter of thanks from Holy Trinity Church for the £250 grant

A letter has been received from DDDC regarding the grant for maintenance of playing fields which is going to committee.

86/08        EXCLUSIONS

There were no items to be taken in exclusion.

 87/08        FETE FIELD

A discussion was held due to the recent event of cows on the field, that got in through breaks in the fence, and the parish council must protect the field and the assets.

It may be that there needs to be gates and a stile to remove the breaks in the fence.

Thanks have been received from the landowners for the stile.

RESOLVED:

To erect a sign to state that it is private land.

88/08        VILLAGE PLAN

The chair circulated a précised report.  The future of the village hall was also discussed, now that they have not received grant funding as anticipated.

RESOLVED:

That the clerk would arrange for reduction to A5, printing and distribution.

That the clerk would write to the Chair of the Village Hall Committee to find out their future plans.

Holy Trinity Church – festive lighting

RESOLVED:

That a grant of £100 be awarded.

90/08        EAST MIDLANDS IN BLOOM SEMINAR 2008

This will take place on 21.2.08 at Bakewell.

RESOLVED:

That Cllr Taylor will attend if available.
